I have seen many performances here over the years and they are a delight. Dracula and Christmas Carol are just a couple of my favorites.

The Tony Award-winning Actor's Theatre of Louisville is quite a find in a medium-size city like Louisville. They present performances of a very high caliber. Classic plays, musicals, new productions, and even special performances for Christmas (e.g. A Christmas Carol) and Halloween (e.g. Dracula).Every year's highlight in theatre both in Louisville and for the theatrical community from all over the country is the Humana Festival of New American Plays. Actors Theatre showcases new plays that provide a peek at the future of theatre in America.

Actors Theatre was founded in 1964 and is a non-profit organization providing live plays. Season tickets are available as well as single play tickets. They always have one or two each season that would appeal to everyone. The actors are fantastic...many going on to larger theatres, broadway or movies and tv. A favotite play of mine is Tuna Christmas. It is a crazy, hilarious 2 man play. Get tickets early because they always sell out. dracula is also a recurring favorite. Great acting and great sets and effects.
