An urban park spread over 85 acres of land on the southern bank of the Ohio River, the Louisville Waterfront Park boasts many amenities, including paths for walkers and joggers, picnic areas, boat docks and an outdoor amphitheater. For children, the "Adventure Playground" offers year-round fun and the water play area provides the chance for kids to cool off in the water during the hot summer months. Situated around Interstate 64, the park is on the northern side of the city, next to downtown.
