The award-winning Louisville Zoo is home to 1,300 animals in re-created natural settings, including lions, tigers, penguins, gorillas and polar bears, as well as hundreds of colorful birds. One of its unique residents is an albino alligator named Louie. It is located across the street from Joe Creason Park.
Open Sep - Feb: daily 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.; Mar - Labor Day: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
